Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assitant

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The NP will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals struggling with mental health conditions, addiction recovery, and other wellness challenges. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral health, and holistic treatment approaches. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, mental health evaluations, and physical exams. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, including prescribing medications and developing individualized treatment plans. Provide holistic and integrative care for individuals dealing with PTSD, addiction, sleep disorders, and anxiety-related conditions. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, as necessary. Educate patients and families on treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventative care. Collaborate with mental health professionals, physicians, and wellness specialists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care. Perform minor medical procedures as required. Maintain accurate and compliant electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality protocols. Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited program. Current Nurse Practitioner license in [State of Practice]. PMHNP or PMHNP-BC Required. Board certification in Family Medicine, Adult-Gerontology, Psychiatry/Mental Health, or a related specialty. Minimum 2+ years of experience in primary care, mental health, or addiction treatment settings preferred. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, and behavioral health treatment modalities. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
