Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Medical Center Patrol in Newport, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken in clear, accurate reports, and provide information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
