Occupational TherapistRehab In Motion is expanding to Lawrenceville, GA.Position: Occupational TherapistEmployment Type: Part-TimeCompensation: $45-$48/hourLocation: Laurel Grove by Barclay HouseWho we are looking for:An experienced OT, enthusiastic about empowering clients with strength & independenceYou are familiar with Independent Living, Assisted Living, Geriatric and/or Home Health SettingsYou value flexibility, autonomy and providing personalized one-on-one careWhat you will receive:Flexible Hours- Create your own scheduleClinical AutonomyProvide 1:1 therapyCompetitive PayProfessional Growth OpportunitiesSupportive Leadership & Team EnvironmentWhat you will do:Perform evaluations and develop treatment plansRegularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferencesPerform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for safety, and provide referral and education resourcesCommunicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family membersSupervision of Occupational Therapy Assistants as neededCommunicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomesWhat you will need:Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy programCurrent, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicingCurrent CPR CertificationDemonstrates knowledge of evidence based therapy interventionsFamiliarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home healthCommunicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactionsAbility to lift 50 poundsMoving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety proceduresDuties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periodsAdditional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at timesA health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodationsRehab in Motion, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, is devoted to elevating the physical and emotional wellbeing of older adults through physical, occupational and speech therapies.
