Procedural Technician, Surgery and Anesthesia (Registry)

Responsibilities Identifies specific needs of the patient and anesthesia care provider in relation to anesthesia supplies needed prior, during and after surgical intervention under the direct supervision of the anesthesiologist. Assists the nurse in giving nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Assists surgeon during operating and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of surgical instruments and supplies. Acts as patient advocate while promoting teamwork with physicians and other personnel. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures. Qualifications Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in operating room as anesthesia tech or one (1) year clinical equivalent experience or advanced degree. Current BLS certification. Exemption Wage Non‑Exempt Starting Wage $21.69 hourly. Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience.
