Job Title: Bilingual Hmong Program Coordinator / Assistant Administrator

About the Role

Are you a compassionate, organized professional who speaks fluent Hmong and wants to make a real difference in the lives of seniors?

We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Hmong Assistant Program Administrator to join our adult daycare team. Working directly with our Director, Operation Manager, and Program Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our participants' daily needs are met effectively. This dynamic, multifaceted role combines administrative office work, community advocacy, light transportation, and direct floor engagement with our seniors.

Key Responsibilities

I. Case Management & Administrative Duties

  • Government Benefits Advocacy: Apply for and track public housing, Section 8, senior living, and affordable housing applications for participants.
  • Assistance Programs: Help seniors apply for and maintain benefits like Energy Assistance, SNAP, and Medical Assistance.
  • Care Coordination: Write tailored care plans, update vital record binders, coordinate with pharmacies for medication lists/refills, and assist the visiting nurse with recording vital signs.
  • Activity Planning: Assist in planning engaging daycare activities and sourcing outside community resources.

II. Senior Engagement & Floor Support

  • Direct Care & Activities: Actively lead and participate in games, recreational activities, and daily entertainment on the floor.
  • Daily Logistics: Record and track game tickets distributed to participants at the end of the day.
  • Team Support: Assist kitchen staff and other colleagues as needed to keep the center running smoothly.

III. Transportation & Interpretation

  • Participant Transport: Safely pick up and drop off seniors using a company minivan or a 12-15 passenger van.
  • Medical Appointments: Schedule doctor appointments, transport participants to their visits, and provide accurate Hmong/English translation as needed.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

  • Language: Must be fully fluent in Hmong and English (strong reading, speaking, and writing skills in both).
  • Experience: 1+ years of office, administrative, or clerical experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or higher.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must be comfortable driving a 12-15 passenger van). Reliable personal transportation is required to get to work.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check.
  • Core Skills: Knowledge of social/health services (or a strong willingness to learn), a patient attitude with seniors, and excellent communication skills.
