We are seeking a candidate that offers energy, a quest to build their career as a planner in the public sector and enjoys working with people to develop trusting business relationships to fill our Planner I position. In this high-energy, high-production environment, a candidate must be eager to learn, grow as a professional and a planner. As a member of the Planning team, our Planner I performs a wide variety of municipal planning and project management functions, including land use planning, research, administration associated with development review, answers incoming daily planning questions from the public over the phone, and completes ancillary land use and development review and support functions. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in urban/regional planning or a closely-related field, experience in municipal planning or consultant work performing land-use planning or similar discipline, face-to-face customer service experience and GIS and/or development review experience.
