Pipeline Engineer I

A Pipeline Engineer I is an integral part of project teams, gaining foundational experience in pipeline engineering aspects of midstream/facilities oil & gas infrastructure. This role assists in pipeline design, calculations, and documentation, working under the guidance of more experienced engineers. An excellent entry-level opportunity for a passionate pipeline engineer eager to learn and contribute to significant projects. Duties and Responsibilities Assistance in the preparation of pipeline route maps, alignment sheets, and preliminary drawings. Support for basic hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and material take-offs under supervision. Aid in data collection and review of pipeline design basis documents. Preparation and organization of pipeline project documentation, including reports and technical memos. Learning and applying relevant industry codes, standards, and company procedures (e.g., ASME B31.4, B31.8). Collaboration with other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, mechanical, process) to ensure design integration for pipeline crossings and tie-ins. Participation in technical discussions and basic design reviews. Some travel may be required. Required Skills and Abilities Basic understanding of pipeline fundamentals, including hydraulics, material properties, and construction methods. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Strong analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Team player – able to communicate and relate well with others. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds. Ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings.
