Senior IT Infrastructure & Server Administrator (Onsite)

System Administrator 4 IT Infastructure job at Sweeney Strategies LLC. Richmond, VA. About the Role The selected candidate will support and manage core IT infrastructure operations and asset management. This role is fully onsite and includes hands-on responsibilities ranging from user support to server configuration and inventory control. Key Responsibilities Establish and implement enterprise-level policies and procedures for maintaining the IT Asset Inventory. Plan and implement current and future system processes, including user interface improvements and security policies. Monitor and maintain the IT Requests mailbox, ensuring timely delegation and resolution of user issues. Provide IT support via phone, email, and in person to resolve technical requests effectively. Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain systems, applications, workstations, printers, and wireless devices. Collaborate with internal technical staff to support and resolve IT service requests. Facilitate video conferencing setup and troubleshooting. Manage logistics of shipping equipment to various DOC facility locations. Receive and document incoming IT equipment. Manage equipment surplus processes. Maintain a real-time electronic inventory system for hardware, software, and peripherals. Ensure equipment inventory is stocked to prevent disruptions to operations. Train interns on technical applications and systems. Fulfill other duties, tasks, or assigned projects as needed. Provide field coordination and planning to optimize use of management information systems. Requirements Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience ensuring policy, standards and guideline compliance with hardware, operating system software system and related activities. 5+ years of experience installing and rebuilding servers; configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage per standards. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 (O365).
