Float PhlebotomistPride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare facility in Portland, OR 97227.Schedule: 6 am-6 pmLocation: Portland, OR 97227 Job Type: local contract Contract Length: 3 months Pay Range: $20/hr to $23/hrThe candidate can apply for mileage reimbursement.Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections using straight and butterfly needles.Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to established procedures.Verify patient information, physician orders, requisitions, and specimen labels for accuracy.Explain blood draw and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.Maintain specimen integrity by following proper storage, temperature, transportation, and handling protocols.Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, recordkeeping, and patient information updates.Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and complete required annual department training.Answer telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results as appropriate.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Minimum 2 to 4 years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.Pedi and geri drawing skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Pride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Pride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
