Excavator Operator (Pipe Crew)

Position Overview Allan Myers is seeking anExperienced Skilled Pipe Excavator Operatorwith a strong background inmainline pipe installationto join our Heavy Civil Construction team. The ideal candidate has at leastfive (5) plus years of experienceoperating excavators in underground utility work and site development. This position plays a critical role in the safe and precise excavation for stormwater, sewer, and waterline systems. Key Responsibilities Operate hydraulic excavators (e.g., Cat 320, 330, 336 or similar) to excavate trenches forstorm, sanitary, and water mainline pipe installations. Work closely with pipe crews and foremen to ensure proper trench depth, slope, and bedding for utilities. Utilize GPS and/or laser-guided systemsfor accurate digging and grade control. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, grade stakes, and utility layouts. Perform routine daily equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and report mechanical issues promptly. Ensure safe trenching practices in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Maintain clean and organized work zones and contribute to overall crew productivity. Valid driver’s license required. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) a plus. Related work experience required.
