Every year employees receive a merit based pay raise!* Paid sick time* Six (6) paid holidays* Completely employer funded 401k retirement plan* Longevity of our team members means you join an experienced team and work environment.* Great working conditions-generous staffing* Paid new employee orientation and training program that is thorough and complete.* Free delicious mealwith every shift worked* Free Livonia Recreation Center passes available for you and your family (up to 5 passes)* Referral program for employees (get paid $300, $600 or $1000 for referring a friend)* Referral program for residents (get $500 for referring a resident)* Faith based leadership**Duties to be performed shall include, but not be limited to the following:*** Monitor admissions paperwork* Initiate resident service plan for admissions/re-admissions* Perform daily rounds to ensure that devices/alarms are in place and to ensure quality of care* Monitor shower list* Monitor weights and inform dietary of weight loss/gain concerns* Assist with call lights* Monitor dining room as needed* Communicate changes in resident status* Supervise Personal Service Attendants and oversee on-floor training* Dispense medications* Perform treatments as ordered by physicians* Assists as necessary emergency calls from Woodpointe Residential Living when necessary* Teach new procedures and techniques to staff* Maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with other departments* Perform other duties as assigned## Qualifications**EDUCATION**Must be a Licensed Nurse graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Must hold a current and unencumbered license as a Licensed Nurse in the State of Michigan.**SPECIAL FEATURES/REQUIREMENTS**Licensed as a Nurse for the State of Michigan. Follows/adheres to Woodhaven policies, federal state regulations and guidelines, including Resident Rights; maintains neat well groomed appearance, adhering to Woodhaven dress code.**QUALIFICATIONS:*** Experience in geriatrics or long-term care settings.* Certification in geriatrics or other specialty care.* Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.* Previous experience working as an LPN, preferably in a retirement community, assisted living, or long-term care setting.* **Knowledge of Geriatrics:** Understanding of the unique needs and care of elderly residents.* **Compassionate & Patient-Centered Care:** Strong dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality care to seniors.* **Strong Communication Skills:** Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members.* **Critical Thinking:** Ability to assess patient needs, make informed decisions, and provide appropriate interventions.* **Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification:** Current BLS/CPR certification.* **Medication Management:** Experience administering medications, understanding of pharmacology, and ability to handle medication orders.* **Documentation Skills:** Accurate record-keeping of patient information and care provided, in compliance with regulations.* **Team-Oriented:** Ability to collaborate with other healthcare providers, including RNs, CNAs, and doctors.* **Physical Stamina:** Ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed, with the stamina to work 12 hour shifts.* **Background Check:** Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.* Familiarity with Point Click Care (PCC) system.**SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS**Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients/residents, family members, visitors and the general public. Should be able to provide direct resident care as needed. Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily when necessary. Should be able to lead, supervise and manage the aides in providing care and assistance to all residents with different care needs. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents with sensitivity to their cognitive abilities.
