Traffic and Safety Civil Engineer III Full Time St Louis, MO, US Salary: $70,500.00 To $80,500.00 Annually Responsibilities As a Surface Transportation Civil Engineer III , you'll play a key role in working with senior staff, to support a wide range of municipal infrastructure projects, working closely with experienced engineers and planners on highway projects, roadway expansion projects, roadway diet projects, multimodal projects, site development projects, and transportation planning projects. Support a variety of engineering, planning, or corporate projects Acquire specialized industry knowledge and skills while working under a Professional Engineer (PE) Utilize technical software to support the planning and design of infrastructure projects including traffic and safety engineering programs Developing technical reports related to traffic and safety engineering and presenting collaborative ideas Attend internal (CMT) and external (client) meetings Contribute ideas and brainstorming to a team of engineers and planners Be open to feedback and professional growth Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required. 2-8 years of experience in the civil engineering field Traffic and safety studies experience Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with Microsoft Office Traffic engineering software experience Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a willingness to learn. Ability to work in the field, as needed, for engineering roles. Possession of a current and valid driver’s license to travel to field sites, as needed, for engineering roles.
