Forklift OperatorOpenings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shiftsResponsibilitiesProfessionally operate the forklift with an accident-free record and maintain precise records of forklift inspections.Systematically maintain and clean the forklift.Continuously track the location of goods during material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure accurate data entry.Perform manual tasks such as sampling, inventory, and cleaning under the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead.Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.During the seed delivery and return season, ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations.Maintain safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of forklift experience in a production or manufacturing environment.Ability to count accurately when moving inventory and read scales.Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.Alertness and awareness when driving the forklift safely.Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.Ability to operate forklifts in confined spaces and work with racks up to 30 feet high.Proficiency in using RF scan guns and other technology like PCs and scanners.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durant, IA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
