PGO Cybersecurity Spring Co-op

Duke Energy’s PGO Cybersecurity Spring Co-op provides currently enrolled college students hands-on exposure to securing critical operational technology (OT) environments that support the electric grid. Responsibilities Support efforts to secure critical OT environments for electric grid operations Gain exposure to substation cybersecurity , cyber asset management , and vulnerability management Participate in related activities including patching , compliance , and risk management Contribute to incident response efforts and cybersecurity program governance activities Work with cybersecurity analysts, engineers, and operations personnel on asset inventory reconciliation Assist with cybersecurity assessments alongside analysts, engineers, and operations personnel Support technology deployments in collaboration with cybersecurity and operations teams Participate in process improvement initiatives with stakeholders across teams Support data analysis efforts as part of ongoing cybersecurity activities Build technical and professional skills while learning about Duke Energy’s cybersecurity program, electric utility operations, regulatory requirements, and the role of cybersecurity in power grid reliability and resilience Requirements Currently enrolled in and pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an IT or Engineering related major, including: Computer Science Computer Information Systems Management Information Systems Software Information Systems Information Technology Information Science Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher Must not graduate prior to August 2027 Technologies Angular Java Python Pivotal Cloud Foundry Azure AWS Linux Windows Active Directory Infrastructure as Code Networking Data Center Infrastructure SQL Location and Work Model Location: Lake Mary, FL (hybrid) Hybrid: Work performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period Commute: Hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to the designated Duke Energy facility Transportation: Reliable, consistent transportation required for timely arrival Working Conditions Many opportunities require a 40-hour work week Co-op session: 16 weeks Travel 5-15% Benefits Housing stipend available when applicable Program Location for 2027 Lake Mary, FL Visa and Relocation Relocation assistance: No Union/represented position: No Visa sponsorship: No. This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cybersecurity Jobs
