Job OpportunityThis position involves performing radiographic and ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols. The successful candidate will ensure the technical accuracy of each examination and communicate relevant information to the healthcare team to enhance patient care.Shift InformationShift: 4, 10-hour rotating shiftsCertifications RequiredRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Sonography (S) credentialBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationExperience PreferredPrevious experience performing radiographic and ultrasound examinationsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform all ultrasound examinations following established protocols.Review each examination for technical accuracy and send completed examinations to the radiologist.Communicate pertinent data to the care team following procedures.Identify each patient and verify exam orders for clinical consistency.Ensure accuracy of demographic information, including physician's name, patient's name, and date.Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.Determine optimal methods for obtaining examinations with minimal supervision.Adhere to department policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including infection control standards.Utilize the healthcare information system (HIS) and PACS computer systems for quality patient documentation.Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for reordering when necessary.Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam and dressing rooms.Champion a Just Culture and adhere to organizational values.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.Operate ultrasound units to obtain diagnostic images for patient care.Position patients appropriately and assist physicians during procedures while ensuring safety for both patients and staff.Complete all necessary files and records accurately.LocationCity, StateFor additional information, please reach out to appropriate contact addresses if needed.
