Landscape Maintenance Field Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support 5–8 lawn maintenance crews, ensuring quality standards and efficient operations.
• Coach and train field supervisors and technicians in mowing operations and seasonal cleanups.
• Plan and schedule daily crew assignments, optimizing routes and minimizing nonproductive time.
• Monitor and manage labor and material budgets, including weekly hours and overtime.
• Review and verify daily time sheets and digital entries for accuracy.
• Conduct performance appraisals, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed; participate in hiring and employment decisions.
• Utilize company software to estimate landscape services and assist the Sales Team.
• Achieve annual enhancement sales goals and maintain high client renewal rates.
• Inspect properties regularly using Aspire software and complete monthly quality inspection reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors; negotiate pricing and service agreements.
• Communicate effectively with team members and participate in safety and operations meetings.
• Coordinate equipment and truck needs with the mechanic, ensuring readiness for seasonal changes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Oversee snow removal operations during winter months, including managing a snow zone and operating equipment as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience (2–4 years preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Knowledge of plants, shrubs, weeds, pests, insects, diseases, and plant disorders.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with managers, clients, and team members.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and database use.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Physical ability to safely lift, push, and pull landscaping equipment and materials (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to operate hand and power equipment safely.
• Willingness to work varying hours, including days exceeding 10 hours, and in extreme weather conditions.
• Comfort working around loud equipment and using hearing protection as required.

Compensation

Full-time position with an annual salary of $60,000–$65,000, based on experience .
