Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced emergency care team. The Emergency Department consists of 35 treatment rooms, 15 hallway beds (approximately 50 total ED/TCU beds), and a 6-room locked Behavioral Health Emergency Department (BHED) . Nurses must be comfortable caring for a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, geriatric, trauma, and behavioral health patients.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Holiday Requirement: One winter holiday and one summer holiday required
• Orientation Date: August 18 (Mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Assess, prioritize, and provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages.
• Manage critically ill, trauma, medical, surgical, and behavioral health patients.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Monitor patient condition and document accurately in the EMR.
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations while maintaining patient safety.

Requirements

• Active RN License (New Jersey or Compact License) required at submission
• BSN required
• Recent Emergency Department experience
• Must have experience caring for all patient populations, including Pediatrics
• Current certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
• Current Flu Vaccine required
• Limited Request Time Off (RTO)
