Urgent Care LVN

Location: Dallas, TX
Pay:  $37.17/hour (W2)
Type: Contract / Temporary
Training:   Full-time for the first 3 weeks (training/orientation)
Schedule After Training: Variable clinic schedule (shifts typically 7–10 hours ); expect 2–3 weekdays + every other weekend , and  some major holidays
Work Setting: Patient-facing,  safety-sensitive role (on-site as needed)

Position Summary

We’re seeking an experienced  Urgent Care LVN to support a fast-paced clinic environment delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. You’ll partner with a clinical team to assess patients, administer treatments, document accurately in the EMR, and help ensure a safe, organized clinic experience.

What You’ll Do

• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs; identify and document abnormalities
• Administer medications (oral, injectable, topical; other routes as permitted by scope/site policies)
• Provide vaccinations, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing (POCT)
• Document patient histories, allergies, medications, and treatment responses in the EMR
• Educate patients on self-care and connect them with appropriate community/healthcare resources
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, organized clinic environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LVN license (compact license must be issued in your primary state of residence; license must be in good standing with  no current or prior disciplinary actions )
• BLS certification (must remain valid at least 30+ days beyond your start date )
• At least 1 year related clinical experience
• Recent experience in  Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room
• Hands-on experience with:
• • Phlebotomy
  • Vaccine administration
  • Point-of-care testing
• EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)

Important: Candidates with experience limited to long-term care settings (e.g., nursing home, home health, LTAC, SNF) may have difficulty transitioning to this clinic environment.

Training / Scheduling Details

• First 3 weeks:   Full-time training/orientation (no time off should be planned that would prevent completion of training)
• After training: schedules are typically built in 6-week blocks based on clinic needs

  4. Confirmation you understand this is a  temporary/contract role (conversion possible but not guaranteed)
  5. Any planned time off that would prevent completing the  first 3 weeks of full-time training
  6. Approximate distance from your home to the clinic site
