R&D Technician I

Pilot plants at UOP are bench scale assemblies of high-pressure equipment where experiments are conducted for the purpose of catalyst and process development for the Refinery and Petrochemical industries.

You will report directly to our Sr R&D Supervisor, and you'll work out of our McCook, Illinois location on an On-site work schedule.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As a shift Operator you will operate, monitor, and take readings on group of pilot plants.
• This includes collecting samples for the labs to analyze.
• You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area.
• Make use of the Honeywell Operating System to continuously make improvements.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Experience in a research and development or laboratory environment
• Strong background in areas such as materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields

• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights) which includes some weekends and holidays
• Basic math and computer skills

The annual base salary range for this position is $44,800 - $56,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
