Maintenance Technician / Lead
Senior / Lead Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Automation Specialist
A leading global manufacturer is seeking a skilled Senior Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Automation Specialist to support highly automated production operations. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, improving manufacturing uptime, and leading preventive maintenance initiatives within a fast-paced industrial environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, mentoring others, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure maximum uptime and reliability of assigned production equipment and manufacturing lines.
- Plan, schedule, execute, and document preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Lead equipment improvement projects, upgrades, and reliability initiatives.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automation systems.
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians on best practices, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance.
- Manage critical spare parts inventories and support workplace organization initiatives.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment history.
- Develop and maintain maintenance standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and standard operating practices.
- Support additional maintenance and operational projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal technical training and practical industrial experience as an:
- Electro-Mechanical Technician
- Automation Technician
- Engineering Technician
- Maintenance Technician
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of PLC troubleshooting and/or programming experience.
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience involving fabrication and repair activities.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects, coordinating teams, or providing technical leadership.
Technical Skills
- PLC troubleshooting and programming.
- Industrial automation and control systems.
- Pneumatics and hydraulics.
- AC/DC electrical systems.
- Motors, gearboxes, drives, and robotics.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
- CMMS platforms (SAP or similar preferred).
- Preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.

Work Environment
- Exposure to machinery noise and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, and high-visibility clothing.
- Working 12-hour shifts and fixed shift rotations, including holidays as required.
- Frequent walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
