Registered Dietitian

Overview Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to be part of our Clinical Team. What We Offer You: 403(b) Retirement Account with Company Matching What You'll Do: The Registered Dietitian is a member of the interdisciplinary health team and provides medical nutrition services and nutrition counseling in a primary care practice setting. Responsibilities include: Evaluate nutritional status of individuals and provide nutrition counseling and consulting to individuals, as well as collaborating with health professionals within the organization. Study and analyze current scientific nutritional studies to assist in developing standards, guides for use in Blue Ridge Community Health Services. Plan, evaluate and conduct nutrition education programs and develop educational materials for various audiences and at all BRCHS sites. Responsible for supporting organizational mission and goal achievement, organization quality goals, and providing safe, patient-center care. What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition required or equivalent Bachelor’s in a related field from an accredited school. Certification/Licensure Specific Requirements: RD: Currently a Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) LDN: Current certification as a Licensed Nutritionist and licensed to practice in state of North Carolina. One to two years of supervised training and experience working as a Registered Dietitian. Experience in working in ambulatory care setting. Bilingual preferred, but not required.
