Packing Operator

Job Overview Reynolds American has an exciting opportunity for a Packing Operator in Tobaccoville, NC. Key Responsibilities Diagnose machine problems, respond to fault lamp and message displays, and adjust machine accordingly. Load materials, clear material jams, and make minor machine adjustments. Perform light machine maintenance. Perform machine and area cleaning as described in work instructions. Perform all quality checks and tests as described in work instructions. Order materials, verify materials and production specifications, perform quality checks, monitor and respond to KPI data prompts, set up machine for various product styles, and classify finished product through direct interaction with advanced Manufacturing Execution System and Document Management System, and other computer applications as appropriate. Perform procedures and work assignments in keeping with Company safety rules and all other policies and procedures. Qualifications 2-5 years in a high-speed industrial production environment. Three years of operator experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment. Work Keys assessment scores: Applied Math 3, Workplace Documents or Reading for Information 3, Graphic Literacy 3, Workplace Observation 2 (preferred). High School Diploma or equivalent.
