Per Diem Monitor Technician
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Monitor Technician to work 7AM - 7PM.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips at intervals and with patient changes.
- Performs independent check of strips to include: time, PR interval measurement, QRS measurement, QT measurement, ectopy and baseline rhythm
- Assigns telemetry monitoring as ordered by physician
- Effectively communicates telemetry-related patient information to members of the health care team
- Continuously checks telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper working order.
- Demonstrates knowledge of escalating medical emergency and Code Blue process.
- May perform relevant duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Previous Monitor tech experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills a must.
- Must be able to pass pre-hire telemetry exam
