The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plansAdminister medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and facility policiesMonitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring interventionDocument patient care accurately and timely within the electronic medical record (EMR)Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and other healthcare professionalsEducate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructionsPrioritize and manage multiple patient assignments while maintaining quality care standardsRespond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient conditionMaintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and regulatory requirementsAdvocate for patients while ensuring compassionate, culturally competent careParticipate in interdisciplinary rounds, shift reports, and care planning meetingsOperate and monitor medical equipment as required by the assigned unitMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsSupport organizational quality initiatives and patient satisfaction goalsQualificationsRequiredCurrent, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licenseGraduate of an accredited nursing programMinimum 1-2 years of recent clinical experience within specialty areaCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationStrong clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsAbility to adapt quickly to new environments and workflowsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teamsPreferredPrevious travel nursing experienceSpecialty certifications relevant to assigned unitACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, or other specialty credentials as applicableExperience with major EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar systemsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout assigned shiftsAbility to lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and equipmentMust be capable of performing duties in a fast-paced healthcare environmentAbility to respond quickly during emergency situationsRequired CertificationsCurrent Nevada RN licenseACLS (AHA)BLS (AHA)Shift NotesNights 13 weeks initial contract auto offer Orientation will be the first two weeks - M-F days.Weekend Requirements - As neededHoliday Requirements- As neededCall or standby requirement - YesEqual Opportunity EmployerATC Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
