Senior Cloud & Cyber Engineer: Architect Secure DevSecOps for National Security!

Are you an elite systems architect ready to build and defend the secure cloud pipelines that power our nation's most critical defense programs? We are seeking a Senior Cloud and Cybersecurity Specialist to deliver imperative software enablers directly to the warfighter at the speed of relevance.

In this high-impact technical role, you will be the primary architect behind our multi-classification DevSecOps cloud environments. You will establish the organic infrastructure, network defense, and cybersecurity systems necessary to support major program offices aligned directly with the Department of Defense's highest Operational Imperatives.

What You Will Accomplish:

As a senior technical authority within our cyber and cloud division, your daily focus will span from hands-on architecture to high-level system authorization. You will:

- Build Multi-Classification Cloud Environments: Design, deploy, and sustain robust DevSecOps cloud environments across multiple security classification levels, ensuring developers can collaborate securely on both unclassified and highly restricted workloads.

- Establish Organic Capabilities: Build the in-house infrastructure and cultivate the technical expertise required to support major program offices, reducing reliance on external vendors and empowering the Air Force to pivot quickly to meet emerging threats.

- Deliver Secure Software at Speed: Directly support critical acquisition programs by automating pipelines and eliminating bottlenecks, ensuring that the latest software updates, security patches, and tactical applications reach the warfighter instantly.

- Command Cyber Defense Operations: Execute a wide range of critical services, including network defense, vulnerability management, software assurance, system registration, and proactive cyber resiliency strategies.

- Master the Risk Management Framework (RMF): Oversee and enforce rigorous RMF compliance, safeguarding operations across Unclassified, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) enclaves.

Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain & maintain appropriate Security clearance

- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours

- Must be able to obtain and maintain Cyberspace qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03

Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance.

2. Knowledge of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system.

3. Knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems administration functions.

4. Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.

5. Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problems, provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers, and maintain liaison with industry and other activities to provide awareness of state-of-the-art technology.
