Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatric therapy team. Position Summary
Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant provides direct therapy services to children with speech, language, communication, and related disorders. The SLPA implements treatment plans, supports family education, assists with documentation, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive developmental outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
- Implement speech and language treatment plans developed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions to children with speech, language, communication, and related disorders.
- Support children who utilize or may benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
- Assist with speech, language, and communication assessments as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Educate and train families, caregivers, and other professionals on treatment strategies and carryover activities.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
- Collaborate effectively with therapists, administrative staff, and billing teams to support quality service delivery.
- Participate in staff meetings, team collaboration, and ongoing professional development activities.
- Maintain current licensure and all required credentials.
- Apply evidence-based practices, sound clinical judgment, and professional decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to providing exceptional pediatric care.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited college or university.
- Current Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant License in good standing.
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Pediatric therapy experience.
- Experience working with children who utilize AAC devices and communication systems.
- Experience collaborating with families and multidisciplinary care teams.
