Marine Structural Engineer - Senior Level

We are actively looking for a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to join our Tampa office. As part of the Structural Group, the Senior Engineer will perform project management and design for waterfront structures and marine infrastructures projects, including marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads, breakwater and shore protection structures. The ideal candidate has 10-15 years’ experience working on projects from conceptual layout through the design process. Duties And Responsibilities Lead, manage, and perform on waterfront projects relating to near‑shore platforms, trestles, wharves, piers, docks, bulkheads, mooring/breasting structures, and liquid, gas, container and bulk terminals. Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing for concrete, steel, timber, and other materials. Inspect and author assessment reports, and develop rehabilitation plans for waterfront structures. Develop construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and structural calculation packages. Apply knowledge of shoreline protection materials and breakwater design. Manage project budgets, contracting strategies, scheduling, and document preparation. Mentor and develop younger engineers. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (required). Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required). 10–15 years of experience in shoreline marine structural engineering design and project management with a consulting firm or waterfront, port, or marine client (required). Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Florida or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire (required). Experience with DOD marine structural engineering projects is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team approach. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Availability and willingness to travel. Working Conditions This position can be hybrid, with both office and remote work options. The role must be based out of the Tampa office and cannot be fully remote.
