Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting, supporting treatment administration and patient education. The role requires clinical expertise in chemotherapy and IV therapy, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and other infusion therapies to oncology patients according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient responses and manage any adverse reactions during treatments.
• Document patient care and treatment details accurately using Epic EMR system.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients on treatment procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, vaccination, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Massachusetts RN license.
• Possess a BSN degree from an accredited program.
• Have at least 2 years of clinical experience in oncology or outpatient settings.
• Demonstrate strong IV insertion and chemotherapy administration skills.
• Be proficient with Epic EMR and electronic charting.
• Hold BLS certification; ONS and ACLS preferred.
