Two Ass Brewing Company is looking for experienced front-of-house and event Beertenders who are attentive, ambitious, and engaged individuals wanting to help build and grow our community oriented taproom in Downtown Auburn. The right candidates will thrive in an entrepreneurial, friendly and fast paced environment. You will help to best present our ever changing catalog of craft beverages. You will be accountable to the Taproom Lead and Brewery Operations Manager.

About Two Ass Brewing Company
Founded by long-time Auburn residents Chris and Lynda Haupt and Kris and Linda Bartow, Two Ass Brewing Company is located at 140 Hoffman Avenue, Auburn CA 95603, at the north end of downtown Auburn across from Old Town Pizza. We are a community oriented neighborhood brewery focused on creating a fun, safe, and educational environment for local patrons and visitors alike. Being part of Downtown is important to us by participating in the growth and vitality of the City and neighboring businesses and residents.
Responsibilities
- Represent our neighborly style by engaging directly with customers while representing the Two Ass Brewing company brand in person, on the phone, and occasionally at events. You are often a host as well as a beertender, so helping our guests to have a great visit is extremely important.
- Knowledgeable about beer styles, flavors, trends. Evolving knowledge of our beer selections, menu items, and prices
- Accurately and courteously take in-person merch and beverage orders, helping customers with merchandise, crowlers, and packaged beer to go
- Maintain proper beer pouring standards
- Limit issues related to excessive drinking, ensuring a responsible and safe atmosphere, strictly abiding to state liquor regulations and verifying legal drinking age
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and handle company's money ethically
- Proper beverage safety handling and sanitation practices, including glassware management and proper cleaning
- Maintain taproom cleanliness and general cleaning and restocking of bathrooms during operating hours and perform closing clean-up duties. Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules including deep cleaning protocols as needed.
- Stock bar with necessary items
- Resolve customer problems/complaints
- Assist other staff members to ensure optimum service
- Adhere to a weekly schedule
- Inventory management and stock rotation
- Participate in brewery training and optional events
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21+ years of age
- Basic craft beer and style knowledge is required, we’ll teach you even more about beer!
- Must have ABC Responsible Beverage certification (or obtain within 4 weeks of hire)
- Obtain a Food Handler Certification within 1 month of Brewery Kitchen opening
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Hardworking & passionate about customer service
- Willingness to learn and grow as a team member
- Proper and safe handling of bar and brewery equipment
- Comfortable working and communicating under pressure
- Experience working alone during single person shifts
- Previous serving experience is a plus
- Level 1 Cicerone ( Beer Server Certification ) a plus
Physical Demands:
- Stand for long periods, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 55 pounds, and/or move up to 155 pounds
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception for sensory product checks and equipment operation
- Ability to taste and smell our products to check sensory quality standards
- Requires manual dexterity and ability to quickly move hands and reach above your head
Compensation
We are hiring for part time positions. The starting pay for this position is $18/hour plus tips. Weekend and morning/afternoon/evening availability is required depending on shift.
Shift: The tap room is currently open 7 days a week. We are looking for both weekend coverage and some weekday opening and closing shifts. Once in a while we will be off site at events during different days as well, and staff may have the opportunity to work these events. Desired availability of 8+ hours per week and ability to work half or full shifts.
