TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Renton, Washington, 98055!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 11 weeks Shift: Variable evenings and nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year in a trauma center License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of ER experience - 1 year of trauma experience - Epic experience required - No first-time travelers Description: Candidates will not be accepted with any license hits related to medication diversion or endangerment. The facility has a team of nurses, resource nurses, triage nurses, and protocol nurses. There are a total of 55 beds and 8-12 swing beds, along with 4 trauma bays. The department sees an average of 250 patients per day. Ratios are 4:1 in the main ER and 5:1 in the accelerated care area. All nursing staff manage their own holds if they are prolonged. There are separate psych and seclusion rooms available. In-house security is present in the emergency department. Registered Nurses will draw ABGs and set up small-dose breathing treatments. Respiratory Therapists manage respiratory equipment and are available for consultation. Shifts require every other weekend and holiday work. There is no call or standby requirement. The dress code is royal blue scrubs. The unit orientation includes initial training with leadership and bedside orientation. Candidates must provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population. Travelers may be asked to complete triage orientation and competency testing. The facility emphasizes a mission to care for the community. There are numerous outdoor activities, parks, and recreational areas in the vicinity. Downtown offers a variety of attractions, dining options, and shopping venues. Sports teams and entertainment opportunities are available in the area.
