Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must be licensed to practice in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - First-timers accepted - Weekend availability required - Ability to float if needed Description: The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a critical care setting. Registered nurses in this position will monitor and assess patient conditions. They will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Skill in managing critical patient care equipment is essential. Nurses will be responsible for administering medications and treatments. Experience with common critical care procedures is required. Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams is necessary. Candidates should have strong clinical skills in managing complex patient cases. Documentation and familiarity with electronic health records are expected. This position may require participation in rounding and patient education. Adherence to infection prevention protocols and safety standards is vital. Nurses will engage in patient advocacy and care planning as part of the healthcare team. Availability to work holidays may be required. Candidates must maintain a flexible schedule to adapt to the shifting needs of the unit.
