Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
• Proficiency with CAD, GD&T, and engineering documentation
• About 5-8 years of mechanical product-design experience in a manufacturing environment with full product development cycle
• Experience designing precision motion-control, electric-motor, or electromechanical products
• Strong experience with machining and machined parts with tight tolerancing
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerance analysis, and DFM
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong interest in mentoring, leading projects and growing into a management role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tolerance stack-ups, prototype development, validation, and root-cause analysis
• Experience with ERP, PLM, and engineering change-management systems
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop precision motion-control products and assemblies from concept through production
• Serve as primary technical owner for assigned products, projects, and engineering activities
• Develop complete engineering solutions: CAD models, drawings, BOMs, calculations, and documentation
• Lead engineering product changes from request through implementation
• Plan and execute analyses, prototype builds, testing, and validation
• Apply sound engineering judgment to balance performance, manufacturability, quality, cost, and schedule
• Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Provide technical guidance and design direction to Mechanical Designers
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering methods, product designs, and development processes
