Software Engineer - Norfolk

Salary: $61,000 - 89,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a candidate who can obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• We require a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related scientific field, or equivalent experience where applicable.
• We are looking for at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• We need strong proficiency in Python and modern C++.
• We prefer knowledge in one or more of the following areas: signal processing, target tracking, computational mathematics, or electromagnetics.
• We value familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• We require strong experience working in Linux environments.
• We need experience using Git for software configuration management.
• We expect willingness to travel as needed.
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of modern software architectures, including microservices-based designs.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with DDS and/or Kafka.
