Open Call: Art House by Civil Art

Art House is an emerging artist incubator and leadership program that supports Asian Pacific Islander (API) artists. The second cycle runs from August 2026 to April 2027 and connects participants to galleries, industry professionals, and the broader art community. Program Activities Professional Development Workshops (e.g., Working with Galleries, Art Law, Behind the Art Market with Christie’s, Art Business, Living an Artful Life) Professional & Leadership Opportunities (curatorial projects, exhibition walkthroughs, featured publications) Community Building & Networking (summer BBQ, networking events) Eligibility Criteria Graduating this year or within the past year (Class of 2025/26) Identify as Asian Pacific Islander (API) Maintain an active fine‑art practice with intent to present at galleries or institutions at a professional level Reside in or near New York City (or be able to commute regularly from New Jersey, Connecticut, or upstate New York) during the program period Have a schedule that allows consistent participation in workshop events and commitments Application Requirements 5–10 images of recent works (minimum 5 images) Curriculum Vitae Artist Statement Short questionnaire: a brief statement on why you want to participate, what makes you a strong candidate, and what you hope to gain from the program Optional: website and Instagram links The Art House Open Call will be open from May 23 to July 18, 2026. Art House is committed to providing equitable opportunities to API emerging artists.
