Senior Labor & Employment Associate

Senior Labor & Employment Associate Location: New York, NY A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate with 5+ years of Labor & Employment litigation experience to join its management-side practice in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment litigator to take significant ownership of sophisticated matters, including responsibility for day-to-day case management, depositions, substantive drafting, client interaction and court appearances. Key Responsibilities Represent employers in complex labor and employment litigation Manage matters and day-to-day case responsibilities Interview witnesses and develop case strategy Review and manage electronically stored information Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive filings Conduct and defend depositions Attend court appearances and manage interactions with opposing counsel Advise clients on federal and state employment laws Work directly with clients on litigation strategy and risk management Support workplace counseling matters where appropriate Who You Are 5+ years of relevant Labor & Employment litigation experience Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, ADA and FLSA Experience with trade secret and related state employment laws Demonstrated ability to independently manage significant aspects of litigation Deposition, discovery and substantive drafting experience Workplace counseling experience is beneficial, but not required Experience with wage and hour, employee relations, accommodations, employment agreements, RIFs and employment policies is a plus Strong academic credentials Excellent written and verbal communication skills Admission to the New York State and federal courts required Compensation Salary Range: $275,000 - $310,000 (DOE) Successful candidates are also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
