Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:3

Staffing Details

• Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 7-10 RNs
• Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 7-10 RNs

Equipment Utilized

• Plum 360 IV Pump
• Medfusion Smart Pump
• Drager Vent
• Giraffe OmniBeds

Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

• CPN
• Meditech

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• Level III NICU experience
• BCPAP (Bubble CPAP) management
• High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) experience
• Nasopharyngeal Cannula (NC) management
• PIV insertion and management
• Feeder Grower care

Preferred Skills:

• Ventilator management
• UAC/UVC line placement and management
• PICC line management
• Able to attend deliveries

Typical Procedures

• PICC placement
• UVC/UAC placement
• Intubation
• Lumbar punctures
• Electrocardiograms (EKG)
• Eye examinations
• Laboratory draws
• Arterial blood draws
• IV placement
• Heel sticks

Required Certifications

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Floating Areas

• Mother/Baby Care (baby assignment only)
