Job Summary
We are seeking a Sandwich/ Salad Lead  to join our team at the Foothills Milling Cafe. The Lead Sandwich/Salad Maker oversees the daily operations of the food preparation station. This role balances high-quality food production with team leadership, ensuring that all salads, sandwiches, and sides meet visual, taste, and safety standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a positive attitude under pressure, and leads by example to keep service running smoothly.

Responsibilities: 

• Set up the area with necessary tools, equipment and product
• Direct the team during peak hours to ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment
• Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner
• Monitor stock levels, perform opening/closing inventory checks, and communicate ordering needs to management
• Follow all food safety regulations and assure the team does as well
• General cleaning duties

Qualifications : 

• 1-3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, deli, or fast-casual environment, preferably in a supervisory role
• Ability to handle a high volume during a short period of time
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification a plus
• Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
• Excellent time management skills
• Team work oriented
