Assistant Store Manager

Company Description Lolo's Bowls is a family-run açaí business headquartered in Libertyville, IL, with additional locations in Glenview, Lake Zurich and Evanston (Opening Fall 2026). Position Summary The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations and serves as manager-on-duty during assigned shifts, including opening and closing the store. Responsibilities Opening and closing duties Supervise team members during assigned shifts Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met Receive and store deliveries; maintain stockroom organization Complete prep and cleaning duties Assist customers and resolve service issues Communicate shift updates to the Store Manager Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Willingness to obtain Illinois Food Handler certification (company paid) Willingness to obtain Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification (company paid) Morning, evening, and weekend availability required Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift Strong Customer Service, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences. Effective Communication abilities for interacting with customers, team members, and leadership. Store Management experience, including overseeing daily operations, staffing, and inventory. Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or retail is preferred. Ability to work on-site, stand for extended periods, and perform light physical tasks as needed. Organizational skills and attention to detail, with reliability in punctuality and follow-through. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Schedule & Pay Part-time, approximately 20–30 hours per week Shifts include mornings, evenings, and weekends; schedules are set by the Store Manager Employee discount and free shift meal This position does not include health insurance, 401(k), or profit-sharing benefits Lolo's Bowls is an equal opportunity employer.
