Industrial Mechanic

We are looking to find a skilled and dependable Mechanic with DOT certification and a strong background in heavy and industrial equipment. We are looking for someone who can diagnose a problem before it becomes a breakdown and takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently,

The Role

As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and inspection of heavy and industrial equipment in a fast paced, hands on environment. DOT certification is a critical requirement for this role, as you will be performing commercial vehicle inspections and ensuring full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and operations team to keep the facility running at peak performance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy and industrial machinery and equipment
• Performing DOT required commercial vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Diagnosing mechanical faults using computerized test equipment and calibration devices
• Reassembling and testing equipment after repairs to verify performance and compliance
• Reading and interpreting operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Replacing damaged or worn parts and performing routine maintenance and lubrication
• Keeping accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed
• Upholding all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards at all times

What You Bring

• 5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy or industrial equipment
• OR an Associate's degree in Heavy Duty Truck or Heavy Equipment Repair with 2 years of relevant experience
• Active DOT qualification under FMCSA preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Valid drivers license required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
