Overview RN Nurse Manager - Medical Telemetry. RN Nurse Manager - Medical Telemetry Job Summary: HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, a 289-bed medical center in Margate, FL, is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Nurse Manager for our Medical Telemetry unit. As a Joint Commission-certified primary stroke center and an accredited chest pain center, we are committed to providing high-quality patient care through the latest technology and a focus on continuous improvement. The Nurse Manager will oversee and manage patient care functions, enhance patient outcomes through effective human resource management, staff education, and process monitoring. This role requires a leader who can serve as a role model for excellence in quality care, customer satisfaction, and quality improvement, while also collaborating with medical staff to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering patient care. This position is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. Key Responsibilities Organizes and manages patient care functions on an ongoing basis. Enhances patient outcomes through management of human resources. Provides staff education and monitors processes for continuous improvement. Serves as a role model for excellence in quality care and customer satisfaction. Interacts with medical staff to improve patient outcomes. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in patient care planning. Directs and provides nursing care in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Required Qualifications Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements). Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital experience. Minimum 1 year of experience as a full-time charge nurse, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management. Minimum 2 years recent Charge Nurse/CNC experience in an acute care setting. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in medical telemetry monitoring and interpretation. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to critically assess and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of patient safety standards and quality improvement processes. Shift Details Assignment Dates: 2026-05-27 to 2026-08-26 Shift Type: Flexible Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Shift Duration: 10 hours Days per Week: 4 Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Full-time, Days (No Weekends) and Evening Shift Weekend Rotation: No weekends.
