Bench Scientist

Pfizer is seeking a highly motivated Bench Scientist to join the Molecular Profiling & Bioconjugation group in their BioMedicine Design sector. The Bench Scientist will work with a talented team to develop innovative protein biotherapeutics to bring curative treatments to patients. The candidate will be a key member of the conjugation chemistry team, responsible for the hands-on execution of bioconjugation experiments. Responsibilities: Generate, purify, and characterize bioconjugates Utilize analytical and purification methods, including chromatography and mass spectrometry, to assess bioconjugate quality Document and communicate experimental results clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or a related discipline 0-2 years of research experience Hands-on experience with standard lab techniques and basic protein handling Familiarity with bioconjugation reactions and associated analytical and purification methods, such as chromatography and mass spectrometry Fast learner, detail-oriented, and highly organized; ability to effectively plan and complete experiments with limited supervision after being fully trained Ability to clearly communicate experiment results Experienced with using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for data presentation and reporting Location/Schedule: This is a fully onsite role in Cambridge, MA Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week Please note contractors are engaged to provide services to Pfizer on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
