Job TitleSchedule & Work Conditions8-hour shifts (8:00am–4:30pm or 8:00pm–4:30am)Weekdays and weekends as neededMinimum Required Qualifications (MANDATORY)Applicants must meet ALL of the following:Licensure & CredentialsActive Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC)Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) – AASCurrent ACLS CertificationCurrent BLS CertificationExperience RequirementsMinimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experienceMinimum 1 year Critical Care experienceMinimum 2 years Polysomnography (PSG) experienceExperience performing full-night polysomnograms and split-night studiesCore ResponsibilitiesPolysomnography DutiesPerform and monitor full-night polysomnography studiesConduct split-night diagnostic/titration studiesApply sleep staging using EEG, EOG, EMG per Rechtschaffen & Kales standardsPerform CPAP/BIPAP titration studiesContinuous recording of airflow, oximetry, ECG, EMGMaintain technical sleep logs (manual and electronic)Perform scoring and documentationRespond appropriately to abnormal findingsEnsure patient safety throughout testingRespiratory Therapy DutiesManage mechanical ventilation (invasive & non-invasive)Set up CPAP, APAP, and BiPAP devicesRespond to Rapid Response and Code Blue eventsProvide airway management and ventilatory supportPerform ABG sampling and interpretationEducate patients and families on respiratory therapiesCollaborate with Pulmonary and Critical Care teams
