Your greatest work is ahead! Leidos' Defense Systems RF Systems Portfolio is seeking a Research Scientist to join a talented team within the RF Systems Portfolio. Candidates in this role will be a part of a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and analysts supporting advanced radar systems research and development in a high-fidelity modeling and simulation environment. Candidates will be expected to set-up, test, analyze, and evaluate radar and weapon system performance using modeling and simulation of air defense systems. Solutions for Defense include enterprise and mission IT, large-scale intelligence systems, command and control, geospatial and data analytics, cybersecurity, logistics, training, and intelligence analysis and operations support. Our team is solving the world's toughest security challenges for customers with "can't fail" missions. Primary Responsibilities: Support M&S configuration, testing, and data analysis activities of radar and weapon systems to determine performance capabilities Demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in support of analysis products and presentations Work with a team to find solutions to novel, complex, and non-traditional questions Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or other technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution plus 2+ years of demonstrated performance in M&S activities Proficient in programming (Python preferably, MATLAB, etc.) Must be a US citizen, possess and able to maintain an active Secret Clearance Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area. Preferred Qualifications: Possess and able to maintain an active Top-Secret Clearance Radar/Air Defense Systems M&S Experience Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or other technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution Experience with large military networks (IBCS, CEC, C2BMC, etc) Knowledge of radar algorithms and techniques (search, track, discrimination, etc) Experience working in a Linux operating environment Leidos
