Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete assessments and evaluations to identify clients’ unique mental health issues and tailor appropriate treatment plans, considering their preferences and needs.
• Deliver individual and family therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities that align with best practices in cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, and more — adapting techniques as necessary to promote personal development.
• Collaboratively establish therapeutic goals with clients, regularly tracking and documenting progress using our secured electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure accountability and effective treatment planning.
• Provide teletherapy services, utilizing video conferencing tools to maintain accessibility for clients who may face mobility limitations or reside in underserved areas.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state regulations and ethical standards, including treatment notes, progress reports, and billing information.
• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of emerging trends in therapy and mental health practices.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• A strong ability to build rapport and create a trusting relationship with clients through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exhibit empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude, ensuring that each client feels understood and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
• Demonstrate effective organizational skills to manage a caseload efficiently, while balancing administrative responsibilities with client care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health setting or private practice.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of addiction treatment and recovery processes is a plus.
