Board Certified Psychiatry Physician Services
Location: Houston, TX 77030-4298
Shift/Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (excluding Federal Holidays)
Duration: Ongoing contract
Job Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care (≈95% of time):
•    Provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatry services. 
•    Collaborate with mental health staff for inpatient duties, including: 
o    Patient admission, diagnosis, treatment plan development, and management 
o    Discharge and transfer coordination 
o    Documentation in medical records 
•    Outpatient responsibilities: 
o    Evaluate new patient referrals 
o    Treat severely mentally ill patients 
o    Perform e-consults and post-discharge follow-ups 
•    Clinic operations: 
o    Manage daily clinic flow 
o    See approximately 6–6.5 patient-bookable hours per day (combination of 30- and 60-minute appointments) 
•    Participate in peer review, quality reviews, tort claims, and benefit appeals 
•    Follow medication policies; no sample medications provided 
•    Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions 
Administrative Duties (≈5% of time):
•    Participate in continuous quality improvement activities 
•    Attend committee and quality improvement meetings as required 
Experience & Evaluation Criteria

Key Personnel Experience:
•    Submit CVs for multiple providers within a reasonable radius 
•    Provide copies of licenses, board certifications, NPI numbers, and primary source verification 
•    Certification that staff list is compared to exclusion lists 
Experience Factors:
•    Psychiatry care service experience, including managing short-notice shift vacancies 
•    Daily management of patient flow in psychiatry settings 
•    Longevity and availability of key personnel

Qualifications
Licensure:
•    Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or D.C. 
•    Physicians with restricted, suspended, revoked, or denied licenses are not eligible 
Board Certification:
•    Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry 
•    Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
