Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Telemetry Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Recent experience with EPIC and Cerner preferred License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops plans that prescribe interventions to attain outcomes. Implements care plans and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients by adhering to required vaccinations. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. This unit provides care for post-critical medical or surgical patients requiring observation and care at a level less than intensive care. This unit serves a mix of medical and surgical patients, including those who are monitored or ventilator-dependent. This position involves direct patient care.
