We operate in 13 states with a philosophy that we are much more than a brick manufacturer and distributor.Quality Control TechnicianWe are seeking a "best in class" Quality Control Technician to perform analytical tests on samples, using instrumentation and equipment as well as performing calculations to measure such factors as purity, size and hardness, applying arithmetic. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations. This is a safety sensitive position*Determine consistency of measurements and color of product through mathematical formulas, processes and procedures; weights and measurements as instructedTest and conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished products, using variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product qualityUse a variety of hand and power tools, electrical meters and handling equipment in performing dutiesFollow all required work safe practices including lock-out tag-out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areasSkills and Experience Required for SuccessAbility to interpret blueprints, specifications and other standardsMust be able to quickly identify materialsMust be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularlyCompetencies Required for SuccessIntegritySelf-MotivatedTeamworkDemonstrated prioritization / time management skillsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent; OR one to three months related experience AND/OR training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
