Ophthalmologist – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) MedCBO is a Colorado-based healthcare business infrastructure company that empowers independent physician groups across the United States to launch, manage, and scale their practices. The position offers physicians the opportunity to own and operate an independent practice while receiving administrative and operational support from MedCBO. Primary Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO’s support. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform and implementation. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in an ophthalmology specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice ownership model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
