Quick Service Restaurant – Multi-Unit Operations Leader

Are you an experienced Area Coach or District Manager with a strong background in multi-unit restaurant operations? We are seeking a driven and hands-on leader to oversee a growing group of quick-service restaurants throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul market. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced multi-unit operator who excels at developing General Managers, driving operational performance, and building strong restaurant teams.

Title of Position: Area Coach / District Manager

Location: Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN Market

Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 base salary, with flexibility up to $95,000 for a highly qualified candidate, plus quarterly bonus potential of approximately $22,000 – $23,000 annually.

Job Description

The Area Coach / District Manager will initially oversee approximately four restaurant locations in Cottage Grove, Arden Hills, Blaine, and Rochester, MN . Individual restaurant sales range from approximately $1.8 million to more than $2.5 million annually .

The Area Coach / District Manager will serve as the primary link between restaurant leadership and senior operations management while ensuring each location consistently meets operational, financial, and people-development objectives.

The Area Coach / District Manager will be responsible for coaching and developing General Managers, monitoring food and labor costs, driving sales and profitability, maintaining operational standards, supporting hiring and interviewing, counseling team members, and ensuring strong execution across each restaurant.

This is a hands-on field leadership position requiring regular travel between locations. The three Twin Cities locations are relatively close to one another, while Rochester requires periodic longer-distance travel.

The position averages 50+ hours per week and offers some flexibility for administrative work, which may be completed from home or within the restaurants depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of successful multi-unit restaurant management experience preferred
• Current or recent experience as a District Manager, Area Coach, Area Manager, or similar multi-unit leadership role
• Strong QSR, fast casual, pizza, or full-service restaurant background
• Experience overseeing multiple General Managers and restaurant locations
• Proven ability to manage food cost, labor cost, sales, profitability, and operational performance
• Strong recruiting, interviewing, coaching, counseling, and leadership-development skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and retain strong restaurant management teams
• Stable employment history with solid tenure in previous leadership roles
• Comfortable traveling throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul market and to Rochester
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
• Strong communication, organization, and accountability skills
• Experience with brands such as pizza concepts, Burger King, Taco Bell, or similar high-volume restaurant environments is highly desirable
