Maintenance Mechanic - Sign On Bonus (CPP Syracuse)

Maintenance Mechanic Sign-On Bonus: Receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus when you join our team. Competitive Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour, with shift differentials for 2nd shift and overtime available. Company-Paid Life Insurance – Additional life insurance. Responsibilities Order and maintain supplies to support all maintenance functions. Provide basic maintenance support for startup operations such as lights, dust collectors, air filtration systems. Monitor machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and communicate with supervisors or maintenance staff to diagnose problems or repair equipment. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace electronic control systems for production machinery and associated automated equipment’s gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related components. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machine-level control systems utilizing programmable logic controllers. Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. Communicate with operators pre- and post-repair. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment. Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures. Adhere to all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Requirements A associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift driver experience preferred. Strong communication skills – ability to read, understand, and speak documents and interact effectively with team members, engineers, and leadership. Mathematical skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use basic gauges and measuring devices. Reasoning ability – ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and carry out instructions in written, oral, and diagram form. Reliability, willingness to work overtime as needed, and commitment to working at the Chittenango, NY facility. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation. Working Conditions Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. Physical effort includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, or shoveling. Repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.
